One side-effect of using the native itss.dll is that you can no longer use the help viewer to open chm files.  Any chm file you open will result in the following error:
If you want to generate compiled HTML files using DB Doc on Wine, you need to first install the HTML Help Workshop.  If you attempt to generate a compiled HTML file without first installing the workshop, DB Doc displays the following error.
You are then prompted to enter the path to the compiler.  A link is provided to download the HTML Help Workshop.
On the download page, select the htmlhelp.exe item.  Once downloaded, just install it using the default settings.
You would see a warning indicating that a newer version of HTML Help has already been installed.  It is safe to ignore this.
When you now start DB Doc and open the Settings page, the HTML Help compiler details have automatically been filled.
You now need to configure Wine to use the native version of itss.dll instead of the built-in version.
and extract and register itss.dll together with itircl.dll, from the htmlhelp.exe file you downloaded earlier.
You should now be able to use DB Doc to successfully generate compiled HTML files.
The workaround is to use an alternative chm viewer.  See this topic for further details.
